i'm playing around with the ability to post pictures.
wanna see if this works.
i guess i could write about what this picture is aobut. this little dude is our house mascot and the reason why our house is called Gnome Revolution. got to love olympia's fascination with naming houses. what seems silly to me, though, is the fact that the names are always changing. what's the point of naming a house if you'll change it in 4 to 6 months. beats me. though i suppose our house won't be gnome revolution much longer. cubbie is taking the gnome with him when he leaves in august. of course this shouldn't matter to me either since i won't be living here either. i'm moving to portland at the beginning of next month. just for the summer, but i'm giving up my room in this house. bless 'em for letting me store things here still. going to live with my wonderful and magical boyfriend. haven't lived with a partner in a long time. i'm pretty sure the only reason that we're both willing to risk it is that it is only a temporary situation. but i'm pretty stoked. here's to snuggle everynight!
but anyway, i do care that 1113 Jackson won't be gnome revolution anymore. it's a quirky house, but i've liked it, and i've really loved living with cubbie and jenn and puck when puck was here. i'll be sad to let this housing chapter come to an end.
o, (i'm collecting backwards from where the tangents branched off) and the reason the gnome is awesome with the rebel fist in the air is because it used to hold a lamp aloft. but that doesn't keep it from being a bad ass.

how ever did it get so late? my my my. well...it was a productive day. a lovely one really, so i shouldn't worry about it too much that the homework just did not get done today. i helped many people and that is good. i love working on bicycles! it is so soothing and goal orientated and good. my bike is just singing today. i've had this bike for a year now and not once did i know to / think to de-gunkify it. makes such a difference. sparkling crankset. dig it. shined her all up, and then one of the bike geek guys saw it and oogled at the shamano 600 fancy pants breakin-shiftin-funky parts. i liked it. love my bike. o yeah. * i guess today wasn't all together an academic loss. i did come up with the topic and basic outline for my paper due friday and that's good. but i still haven't finished the book that was supposed to be completed...with the fancy three column notes in hand for monday....it's wednesday. and i just looked at my little sheet thing to find out what we are reading for next week, only to find that we have an article on reserve at the library that was supposed to be read for tomorrow. o....no! 'cause it is tomorrow. it's late! o got to go o got to go got to go
other good happy todayness: did some silkscreening and our house decided on a name: gnome revolution.
